FOCAGIFO believes donors and partners deserve a clear picture of how their support is used.

Our Structure

FOCAGIFO (Friends of Canon Gideon Foundation) has operated in Uganda since its registration in 2003, running its subsidiary Hope Institute for Transformational Leadership, and our public health, education, and community programs on the ground.

FOCAGIFO USA (Friends of Canon Gideon Foundation USA), established in 2014 (EIN 32-0455862), is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity that allows American donors to support our work with a tax-deductible gift.

FOCAGIFO in Uganda

Following 11 years of Canon Gideon's global HIV advocacy, FOCAGIFO formally registered in Uganda in 2003 and has operated continually as an NGO (non-governmental organization) Registration No. S-5914/43270

FOCAGIFO USA

To date, FOCAGIFO USA has operated with zero administrative overhead. Our members personally fund compliance costs and in-person program visits to Uganda, so donations go directly to programs on the ground — not to salaries, offices, or fundraising costs in the U.S.
