Our nationally certified vocational training school equips vulnerable young adults with practical skills, professional credentials, and the confidence to build independent futures. Students graduate in fields including carpentry, tailoring, electrical installation, hospitality, early childhood education, entrepreneurship, and computer studies—preparing them for meaningful employment and community leadership.
Community Leadership
Public health succeeds when communities work together. In Uganda, faith leaders are among the nation's most trusted voices. FOCAGIFO brings Christian and Muslim leaders together to promote health education, reduce misinformation, and strengthen communities through shared service.
Mutual Respect & Dialogue
No matter how you worship or what you believe, certain truths are universal. Public health affects us all. If we can all agree to show compassion, to reduce stigma and prejudice, to educate and protect our youth, to encourage testing, to secure treatments for those who are affected, then we are one step closer to meeting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) of ending HIV as a public health threat by the year 2030.
Health & Well-Being
Our Secondary School HIV Education and Stigma Reduction Campaign targets area schools with age-appropriate, evidence-based information on HIV transmission, prevention, and treatment. Statistically in Uganda, adolescent girls and young women ages 15-24 bear a disproportionate share of the epidemic — accounting for 25-33% of new HIV infections. We provide students with the knowledge they need to better protect themselves and one another. And we promote a culture of empathy and support for students living with HIV (some of them born with it) to help connect them with life-saving services.
Solving Problems Together
Students learn best from one another. We train young leaders to become peer educators who promote HIV awareness, encourage testing, combat misinformation, and connect classmates with health services. By equipping students to lead their own schools, healthy behaviors spread farther than any single workshop could reach.

Equipped with practical skills, professional confidence, and a commitment to serving others, FOCAGIFO alumni become entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare workers, and community leaders.
